    All Hallowsโ€™ Eve

    the night when the veil between worlds is most thin cinnamon leaves, candy apples sweet as sinโ€” a knock on the door; you welcome it in. laughter and screams, festivities begin. porches glowing orange and howling in the wind. disembodied voices usher the eerie night in. now is the time for haunts to begin enter the night of ether and cinnamon.

This is the month I anxiously and impatiently look forward to all year long, like a child who canโ€™t wait to throw on a costume and go trick-or-treating. This go-around will a be a particularly busy time for me, as I am planning a party (not Halloween related, surprisingly), hoping to go to a party (Halloween related, not surprisingly), and trying to coordinate other activities and festivities.
